AttExt is the next program in the IntelCAD <font color="#FF0000"><strong>BLITZ!</strong></font> software series of standalone power tools for processing AutoCAD drawings. As other products in this series, this one doesnt need AutoCAD in order to operate, it reads drawing files with the extreme speed of 1000s of drawings per hour, and it can process files from all versions of AutoCAD including R2000.<br> <br> This program will extract attributes and block insertion data from processed drawings as per user specification and create an extract *.TXT file in CSV format that can be easily imported into most database and spreadsheet programs, including Microsoft Access and Excel.<br> <br> A few applications for this program that we can envision at this time: <ul> <li>Searchable catalog of all company drawings containing the titleblock with attributes. Just generate an attribute extract file from all 30000 drawings on a server and import it into a Microsoft Access database. Then sort it by title, by disk path, find duplicate titles and other mistakes in titleblocks. With the extreme processing speed you can update this database as often as you need (eg. every 24 hrs).</li> <li>Bill of Material (BOM). Read attributes values into Excel and process them with Excel tools. Or make custom program that reads CSV output from this program (its easy to read CSV, it is an ASCII text file, where each line is for one record and each data field in a record is separated by chosen delimiter).</li> </ul> <p>We are planning to issue in the near future the whole family of DWG tools that can process thousands of AutoCAD drawings per hour, here are some of them: <ul> <li>scanner for finding corrupted files among thousands of drawings in network directories;</li> <li>other programs for unsupervised modifying of files from the list: renaming layers, blocks, modifying attributes (eg. revision number) and other named objects throughout the projects, detaching xrefs etc. etc.</li> </ul> <p>To keep up-to-date with our developments, please visit often our downloads section. This will install program files and temporary license on your computer.<br> After successful installation, start the program from Start menu: Start->Programs->AttEx</p> <p>The following are limitations of the Evaluation version: <ul> <li>License is limited to 14 days. You can get FREE extension time by sending us the time code by email.</li> <li>Single run of the program will process only 5 files from DLF list (you can run it as many times as you like on different groups of drawing files).</li> <li>Command line interface is available only in registered version.</li> </ul> <p>You can distribute this shareware version of a program and explore it as per temporary license.
